The Hillbilly Crib

Babies need a lot of stuff, most of it pretty big (especially considering the baby himself is pretty small). When George hangs out with Tom in the Family Room (aka Tom's Cave, the Red Room, or the Man Room), he needs a place to nap. I was going to get a Pack & Play, but Tom decided he could rig something up himself. Witness, the Hillbilly Crib:That's right... the boy sleeps in an old washbasket with a couple pillows and a blanket. The thing is, he likes it and always has a good nap in it. Unfortunately, he is starting to outgrow the "crib." Not only is he getting too long for it, now that he can roll over it is proving to be impractical - the other day he rolled over and got his little nose stuck in the spokes, causing his first boo boo.

He seems to have survived his first injury. The red cheeks are because he is starting to teethe... and that's not a bruise on his chest, it's a birth mark like I have, just on the opposite side of his body.

  1. I wonder what the old drawer, my siblings and I slept in as infants, would be called?
