The boy's first birthday

On February 19, 2008, George turned 1. Crazy! Talk about time flying!! I took the actual day of his birthday off work to spend it with my boy, but spent most of the day curled up in a ball with morningsickness.

We had a party for him that weekend, though, and it was a blast. Uncle Andy, Aunt Julee and the kids came, and all his friends stopped by,

Aunt Gretchen made his birthday cake. She told me she wanted to make him a dragon cake, and I thought that was cool - saved me some time and how special to have his Godmother make his cake for him! I was picturing a regular cake with a frosting or sugar dragon... this is what showed up at our house.

Seriously!! Note the knights and the crumbled castle wall!

George LOVED the cake. I was cleaning it out of his nose and ears for two days.
